NCSCPS
National Consortium for School Counseling and Postsecondary Success
NCSCPS emerged in response to First Lady Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative and aims to improve school counseling and school-based college and career counseling systems. It emphasizes college and career services that increase equitable pathways to postsecondary success for all K-12 students.
Center for School Counseling Outcome Research
The Center for School Counseling Outcome Research is dedicated to improving the practice of school counseling by developing the research base that is necessary for responsible and effective practice. The Center provides national leadership in the measurement and evaluation of the outcomes of school counseling interventions and programs.
The Reach Higher Initiative
The Reach Higher initiative is First Lady Michelle Obama’s project to inspire student in the United States to complete their education beyond high school, in college or a professional training program. School counselors will play an important role in the success of the initiative.

UCLA School Metal health Project
The School Mental Health Project (SMHP) was created in 1986 to pursue theory, research, practice and training related to addressing mental health and psychosocial concerns through school-based interventions. To these ends, SMHP works closely with school districts, local and state agencies, special initiatives, and organizations and colleagues across the country. In 1995 the project established its national Center for Mental Health in Schools as part of the federal mental health in schools program.

The National Career Development Association (NCDA) is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The mission of NCDA is to promote the career development of all people over the life span. To achieve this mission, NCDA provides service to the public and professionals involved with or interested in career development, including professional development activities, publications, research, public information, professional standards, advocacy, and recognition for achievement and service.
Council for Exceptional ChildreN
Council for Exceptional Children
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.
National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC): Sexual Violence
Provides an overview of sexual violence, including information about consequences of sexual violence, risk factors for perpetration, and information on prevention.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
This site offers a number of important resources on the topic of sexual exploitation of children, including information about child pornography, sex tourism of children, and online enticement of children for sexual acts.
National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC)

Collects and disseminates a wide range of resources on sexual violence, including statistics, research, and training curricula, as well as a searchable database of organizations.

RAINN stands for Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network. This organization provides a comprehensive web site that provides information concerning crisis information, different types of sexual violence, common reactions following sexual violence, and how to assist a friend who has been sexually assaulted.
